FRANCE

Azilis Dubée is a graduate of the Institut Agro – Angers campus, an engineering school specialising in horticulture and landscaping. As a student, she specialised in landscape, operationality and projects, focusing on design and implementation of landscape projects. It was there that she met Adrien Laurelli, with whom she shares a common vision of landscape design, combining conceptual thinking with care over implementation. Her career was also marked by an Erasmus at a school of architecture in Madrid, an experience that enriched her thinking on the relationship between architecture and landscape. She did all her schooling in the Breton language and grew up in the countryside near Guingamp, a context that gave her an early taste for plants and a sensitive approach to the landscape, attentive to uses, perceptions and living environments.
Adrien Laurelli
“My connection with the landscape developed very early, in my parents' garden, where I learned about maintenance and then about creation. My father-in-law instilled in me the need for a job well done, especially when it comes to the finishing touches, and this attention to detail still guides the way I design a garden. I chose to study landscape design in order to link nature and creation, a choice also nourished by my mother's artistic influence. After an STI2D baccalaureate (energy and environment), an engineering foundation course at Agrocampus (landscaping), a Higher Technician Certificate (BTS) in landscaping and a professional Bachelor’s degree in management, I'm now working on a permanent contract as an assistant site manager, at the crossroads between design, organisation and implementation. I've also worked on a number of personal projects, including the Jardins d'Expression in Angers and creation of gardens along the banks of the Loire. Plant life, respect for living things and adaptation to existing conditions are at the heart of my approach. Taking part in the Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival provides me with a goal ensuring high standards and recognition.”
