15. Le jardin camouflage
Camouflage allows an animal to change shape or colour and blend into its background. Just like the chameleon or stingray can merge into its environment, there is a place, far from prying eyes, where visitors can contemplate, relax and reflect. After particularly challenging times, this place is perfect to calm the mind, understand your feelings, imagine other experiences and come up with new dreams. It is hidden behind walls, the black interior of which creates an intimate space, whereas the outer wall is covered by a mirror that reflects the vegetation and protects this peaceful oasis. This shelter coils around itself in a spiral, and there is a wooden terrace area where visitors can relax. From here, lying flat, all we can see is the sky: the clouds pass by, birds fly overhead, the sun and moon go about their business. Nothing else can distract our attention. This is a peaceful place, at the very heart of the golden spiral that makes up the garden. Two wide gravel footpaths join onto the spiral. Log borders run alongside these paths, and visitors can stop along the way to admire the variety of wild plants reflected in the mirror. The plant species selected are as light as possible, and seemingly dance in the wind. Whatever the mood, this garden provides a personal and poetic experience.
