Special commissions from the Centre-Loire Valley Region

Initiated in 2008, the Centre-Val de Loire Region’s three-yearly commissions for Domain of Chaumont-sur-Loire nurture an enduring dialogue between heritage and contemporary art.

Through them, visitors to the Domain can also enjoy a cross-cutting exhibition designed by a living artist of international renown.

The showpieces fashioned specifically for the Domain chart a course for visitors to follow – often even opening up new spaces that they did not know were there and could not access before.
