DESIGNERS
Since starting Studio TOOP in 2005, Carrie Preston has come to be regarded as one of the leading landscape designers in the Netherlands. A New Jersey native, she came to the Netherlands in 2000 after earning a degree in Horticulture and Sustainable Agriculture at Delaware Valley University in Pennsylvania. She brings to her work the confident clarity born of more than 25 years of experience in working with this medium. In 2016 she was named the Association of Landscape Designers “Designer of the Year”. She has given lectures and workshops in Lithuania, Russia, the Ukraine and the United States. Her work has been featured in many gardening magazines in the Netherlands, the Ukraine, Russia and Lithuania, as well as English-language publications such as Garden’s Illustrated, Grow and The Designer. In March 2017 she was a guest designer at the Philadelphia Flower Show with her show garden Stinze, where she was awarded both a Silver Medal and the Governor’s Trophy for most innovative design. Along with several other international jury members she was asked to be a guest designer and built her Botanical Bacchanalia on the Manezhnaya Square.
Parisian born graphic designer and artist, Enora Elmoznino was raised in New Jersey. Brought up in an artistic family environment, she attended the Paris American School of Fine Arts as well as completing l’Académie Charpentier’s “Communication Visuelle” cursus for graphic design. With over 20 years of experience in digital graphic design, brand identity and traditional watercolor, her current work strives to balance the traditional and digital arts.
Tess Krüs studied graphic design at the Media & Design Academy in Genk (Belgium) before embarking on a career in retail design spanning almost 30 years, both in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. In this setting, she developed modular systems and found pleasure in adapting concepts to fit the constraints of budget and context, finding the beauty in economy, making grand ideas feasible. She joined Studio TOOP in 2008. She is a master in creating visualisations and technical drawings in a wide range of styles. Her patient, inventive precision is indispensable to bringing the designs to practical life. She is a natural craftsman and constructor.
A recent graduate from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences with a specialization in Landscape Management, Farhana Rasheed joined the Studio TOOP team in February 2018. She is characterised by an enthusiastic spirit and openness towards people. Her main interests within horticulture and garden design include planting design and community participation projects which provide long term sustainable solutions.
