N. The educational garden
Entirely dedicated to children, the garden is designed for family and school visits alike.
An area for work, discovery and learning, it is also a haven of wellbeing and relaxation heady with a range of fragrances and ambiences.
The garden has been created exclusively out of natural materials and invites its young visitors to sensorial discovery. It is entered via covered walkways symbolising passage into another world
With planted areas in the shape of boats and leaves, the garden’s design evokes the voyage of plants.
The “nests”, little plaited cocoons, are designed to accommodate children while they rest, listen or observe. The “grand cabin”, a-bristle with chestnut saplings, provides an area for reading and discussion.
"The Children’s Garden" was created by Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire’s gardeners and educational team.
With the help of gardener Patrick Genty, “La Charmée” clinic in Rilly-sur-Loire, Lycée du Fresne in Angers, Minier nurseries and the Faliénor Terreaux de France company.
